Engineered and implemented a digital onboarding checklist at Employment Hero that reshaped how new organisations get started. Working closely with product and design, I rebuilt the entire flow — reducing setup time by 50% and accelerating time-to-value for customers.
Overview
New organisations joining Employment Hero's HR platform faced a lengthy, error-prone manual setup process. This project redesigned the entire onboarding journey from first login through to an operational account. I led the frontend architecture for the checklist system, worked through multiple iterations with product and design, and implemented robust form validation and state management across a multi-step flow. The result cut median setup time in half, measurably reducing churn in the critical first week after sign-up.
